Summertime at the Matanuska Glacier is an excellent time to try the vertical world of ice climbing. Our step by step approach ensures professional instruction in the art and technical aspects of ice climbing. You can get started without any prior climbing or trekking experience.
You begin on moderate ice slopes and later use your skills to explore the glacier and challenge yourself on more vertical walls. Trips will accommodate different skill levels so bring the whole family. You do not need to be a super athlete to enjoy this adventure. We'll teach you the techniques, which are more important than brute strength. If you can climb a ladder, you can ice climb! Tons of fun, fantastic photo opportunities and a great Alaskan adventure. |
