Talkeetna Fishing Trips

Your friendly travel agent Karey Larson proudly displays her prize salmon, which she caught on a Clear Creek fishing trip.

Our knowledgeable local fishing guides will lead you on a breathtakingly beautiful river fishing excursion.
Talkeetna Travel offers both spin fishing trips and fly-fishing trips ranging from 1/2 day to several days. The Susitna, Talkeetna, Chulitna Rivers and the famous Clear Creek are filled with salmon, trout, and grayling. Your guide will provide with the best fishing experience possible.

Guided Fishing Trips

Advance reservations are highly recommended.  Most trips start at 5AM to ensure a great fishing spot.

Guided Spin Fishing Trip

Full Day 8 hours

Trip includes spin fishing equipment and tackle, hip waders, and non-alcoholic beverages.

Guided fishing trip prices do NOT include: 
Lunch, rain gear (good idea to bring it!), alcoholic beverages; Alaska fishing license (can be purchased from the guide or from different local businesses around town)

Please bring:
Lunch, warm clothes, sunglasses, rain gear if it is raining, fishing license (best if you buy your license the day BEFORE your trip, especially for King Salmon fishing). Bottled water will be available on the boat.

Processing and Shipping your catch:
Your guide can fillet, bag, and freeze your fish for you. You can also pay a local service to smoke, flash freeze, vacuum pack, and/or ship your catch home.

Trout peak during May, and from September 20 - October 10.

Bears like fishing as much as people do.  Be sure to dispose of your fish waste properly.  Please help keep bears wild and people safe!
